Sadness, sorrow and tears are not sufficient to make this nightmare go away.
It is said "time heals all wounds." This time, there may not be enough time. Certainly as decades and centuries pass, regardless of the human race's combined stupidity and greed, the earth will once again regain it's pristine majesty. All things and events eventually reach critical mass, and the cycle begins again. But when?
It now appears that the United States government is in cahoots with British Petroleum.
1. A "No Fly" zone covers the vast majority of the Gulf of Mexico where the spill is located. Private planes, both fixed and rotary winged must get permission (are you f'ing kidding me) to take journalists over the spill location.
2. Private fisherman, livelihoods destroyed, currently "working" for BP are not permitted to charter for the press.
3. Access to PUBLIC beaches is being denied under the thinly veiled guise of "interrupting clean up efforts."
4. "Coast Guard" vessels, yeah right, many just a dingy with a U.S. Coast Guard banner and the letters "BP" draped somewhere over the hull, are preventing boats from getting close enough to photograph the destruction.
The WORST environmental catastrophe the United States has ever seen, and perhaps the world's, is now being heavily censored so that the world sees appreciably less.
All the while, OBAMA is just trying to figure out whose "Ass to kick." SharkyandSharky suggest he start with his own!
