Anti-Barry 1: What Did Romney Say in April?

Sharky&Sharky sincerely believes that the 2012 reelection of Barry will be a major step in the continued acceleration of America into a socialist, collectivist nation. His government's plans are to corrode and ultimately eviscerate the fundamental principles that are essential for the stability and growth of America and subsequently the world. America is the exceptionalist nation which has been the prime source of almost all significant innovations, scientific, commercial, and policy, for two and a half centuries.  From whence does this exceptionalism generate?

Over and over again In this space,  Sharky&Sharky has espoused self-confidence, self-reliance, personal responsibility for self-actualization, and self-esteem informed by aptitudes and skills not a unfounded hip-hop attitude, census, passion, false/baseless pride, race, culture, quota, equality, or utopian intellectualism. Social justice (vs. Meritocracy), Begging, Avarice, Expectation of handouts or bailouts does not advance or profit America in the long run. Innovation germinates from independence and the refusal to accept "as is" or a handout existence. Today's modern world requires skill born of education, new ideas, entrepreneurship, meeting challenges, and risk taking. America is a nation of opportunity creating and grabbing citizens. Sharky&Sharky has disdain for those who think otherwise and encourage citizens otherwise. America is founded on rational choice -- not cultural tradition, free Obama phones, government bailouts -- opportunity development, freedom of action, and capitalism; these are America's proven successful strategies for the pursuit of happiness. Barry ostensibly wants America to be based on caring and sharing and equality of happiness and social justice. Of course this at base is not true; he is using the promised utopia as a power grab. This social collectivism has been tried in the rest of the world and at best returns mediocrity and at worse dictatorship. This is the path to failure for America, examples are Indian reservations and our failing ghettoized cities. America must remain a land of opportunity not an idealized utopia based on failed intellectual social constructs.

Why all this preamble? Sharky&Sharky truly believes that Mitt Romney is going to lose. Barry has too many voters in his favor. Here is a viable list:
  1. LGBT civilian and military owe him
  2. Dark skinned Americans except for Indians of India heritage feel that they must vote for him
  3. All Hispanic Americans feel that they owe him
This short list is 25% of the population of the US. Now add in all of the dedicated Democrats, then we are beyond the 50% mark. In the last group add two groups of people who voted for Barry in 2008 (a) those who do not believe that they made a mistake and they want more of him or (b) those who recognize that they have made a mistake but are unwilling to 'fess up and change their votes this time. the last group to be added are the media and the press; as intellectuals Barry is their boy, their product.  Thus it is Sharky&Sharky's job to save Mitt's ass. The first thing we have to do is take a look at Mitt's April speeches.

Here is the input from Mother Jones website. However first let it be said that MJ acquired an illegal tape and Sharky&Sharky are distributing that tape. So Sharky&Sharky are committing a crime. Lately, Mitt requested that the tapes be made fully available and MJ obliged. So Sharky&Sharky are not committing a crime? Here are the separate videos and transcript:

Video Part 2 with two minute loss:

Complete Transcript: http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2012/09/full-transcript-mitt-romney-secret-video

Now the videos are over thirty minutes a piece but many dynamics come through. While the transcript requires the lost art of reading, pondering, and personal interpreting, it does activate the mind to different aspects of Romney's thinking allowing your thinking to com into play. Sharky&Sharky provide editorial remarks on key points.
  1. The reference to Samantha, is presumably to Samantha Ettus, a writer.
  2. Ann and Mitt gave away their fathers' fortune
By the way, both my dad and Ann's dad did quite well in their life, but when they came to the end of their lives, and, and passed along inheritances to Ann and to me, we both decided to give it all away. So, I had inherited nothing. Everything that Ann and I have we earned the old-fashioned way, and that's by hard work...
  3. His Silver Spoon was America
"Oh, you were born with a silver spoon," you know, "You never had to earn anything," and so forth. And, and frankly, I was born with a silver spoon, which is the greatest gift you could have, which is to get born in America. I'll tell ya, there is—95 percent of life is set up for you if you're born in this country.
  4. His view on immigration
I'd like to staple a green card to every Ph.D. in the world and say, "Come to America, we want you here." Instead, we make it hard for people who get educated here or elsewhere to make this their home. Unless, of course, you have no skill or experience, in which case you're welcome to cross the border and stay here for the rest of your life. [Audience laughs.
] It's very strange. It's run by people who don't understand the words "global competition of ideas," and our idea has to win, but only if America reigns strong.
Mitt then takes questions from the floor.
  1. Deficit Concerns
No. 1 is the economy and jobs by a wide margin. But No. 2 is the deficit. But debt, that doesn't calculate for folks, but the deficit does. They recognize you can't go on forever like this. Although the people who recognize that tend to be Republicans, and the people who don't recognize that tend to be Democrats. And what we have to get is that 5 or 10 percent in the middle who sometimes vote Republican, sometimes vote Democrat, and have them understand how important this is. It's a challenge. I did the calculation for folks today, and USA Today
publishes this every year. It's a front-page story: the headline once a year, it somehow escapes people's attention, and that is, if you take the total national debt and the unfunded liabilities of Medicare, Social Security, and Medicaid, the amount of debt plus unfunded liabilities per household in America is $520,000. Per household. At least. 10, 12 times their income. Even though we're not going to be writing the check for that amount per household, they're going to be paying the interest on that. You'll be paying the interest on that. [ Audience laughs. ] Because we—my generation will be long gone, and you'll be paying the interest. And so you'll be paying taxes, not only for the things you want in your generation, but for all the things we spent money on, which is just—it's extraordinary to think the tax rates, someone calculated what would happen. If we don't change Medicare or Social Security, the tax rate—you know what the payroll tax is now, it's 15.3 percent—if we don't change those programs, that tax rate will have to ultimately rise to 44 percent. The payroll tax. Then there's the income tax on top, which the president wants to take to 40 percent. Then there's state tax in most states. And sales tax. So you end up having to take 100 percent of people's income.

And yet the president, three and a half years in, won't talk about reforming Social Security or Medicare. And when the Republicans do, it's "Oh, you're throwing granny off the cliff." It's like you're killing the kids. The biggest surprise that I have is that young people will vote for Democrats. They look at this and say, "Holy cow! The only guys who are worried about the future of our country and our future are Republicans." But the Democrats, they talk about social issues, draw in the young people, and they vote on that issue.
  2. Barry's Weak Defense Responses
    1. Failure of Barry to apply crippling sanctions on Iran from the beginning
    2. Failure of Barry's the administration to support Iranian voices of dissent
    3. No apparent military plans to remove Iran's nuclear weapons
    4. Removal of missiles from Poland with no return offer from Russia
  3. Naive foreign policy:
The president's foreign policy, in my opinion, is formed in part by a perception that he has that his magnetism and his charm and his persuasiveness is so compelling that he can sit down with people like Putin, Chávez, and Ahmadinejad. And that they'll find we're such wonderful people that they'll go on with us. And they'll stop doing bad things. And it's an extraordinarily naive perception, and it has led to huge errors in North Korea, in Iraq, obviously in Iran, in Egypt, around the world. My own view is that that the centerpiece of American foreign policy has to be strength. Everything I do will be calculated to increasing America's strength.
  4. Palestinian Question:
Nine miles {from border of the West Bank to Tel Aviv}. Okay, I'd be close. Nine miles. The challenge is the other side of the West Bank…the other side of the West Bank, the other side of what would be this new Palestinian state would either be Syria at one point or Jordan. And, of course, the Iranians would want to do through the West Bank exactly what they did through Lebanon and what they did in Gaza. Which is the Iranians would want to bring missiles and armament into the West Bank and potentially threaten Israel. So Israel, of course, would have to say that can't happen. We've got to keep the Iranians from bringing weaponry into the West Bank. Well, that means that—who?—the Israelis are going to control the border between Jordan, Syria, and this new Palestinian nation? Well, the Palestinians would say, "Ah, no way! We're an independent country. You can't guard our border with other Arab nations." And then how about the airport? How about flying into this Palestinian nation? Are we going to allow military aircraft to come in? And weaponry to come in? And if not, who's going to keep it from coming in? Well, the Israelis. Well, the Palestinians are going to say, "We're not an independent nation if Israel is able to come in and tell us what can land at our airport."

These are problems, and they're very hard to solve, alright? And I look at the Palestinians not wanting to see peace anyway, for political purposes, committed to the destruction and elimination of Israel, and these thorny issues, and I say there's just no way. And so what you do is you say you move things along the best way you can. You hope for some degree of stability, but you recognize that it's going to remain an unsolved problem. I mean, we look at that in China and Taiwan. All right, we have a potentially volatile situation, but we sort of live with it. And we kick the ball down the field and hope that ultimately, somehow, something will happen and resolve. We don't go to war to try and resolve it.
On the other hand, I got a call from a former secretary of state—and I won't mention which one it was—but this individual said to me, "You know, I think there's a prospect for a settlement between the Palestinians and the Israelis after the Palestinian elections." I said, "Really?" And his answer was, "Yes, I think there's some prospect." And I didn't delve into it but you know, I always keep open the idea of, I have to tell ya, the idea of pushing on the Israelis?—to give something up, to get the Palestinians to act, is the worst idea in the world. We have done that time and time and time again. It does not work. So, the only answer is show your strength. Again, American strength, American resolve, as the Palestinians someday reach the point where they want peace more than we're trying to push peace on them—and then it's worth having the discussion. Until then, it's just wishful thinking.

This demonstrates that Mitt sees the Palestinian problem as complex comprised of many conflicting interests and is not promising an easy solution based on his smile and charm.

  5. Here comes the famous 47% quote:
There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe that government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you name it. That that's an entitlement. And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what. And I mean, the president starts off with 48, 49, 48—he starts off with a huge number. These are people who pay no income tax. Forty-seven percent of Americans pay no income tax. So our message of low taxes doesn't connect. And he'll be out there talking about tax cuts for the rich. I mean that's what they sell every four years. And so my job is not to worry about those people—I'll never convince them that they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives. What I have to do is convince the 5 to 10 percent in the center that are independents that are thoughtful, that look at voting one way or the other depending upon in some cases emotion, whether they like the guy or not, what it looks like. I mean, when you ask those people…we do all these polls—I find it amazing—we poll all these people, see where you stand on the polls, but 45 percent of the people will go with a Republican, and 48 or 4…

In the this quote Mitt is goofy, conflation abounds. There are plenty of people that have low income and pay no taxes; there are plenty of seniors that are on medicare and social security that paid into those systems who pay no taxes. Vets receive benefits but they have contributed significantly to America. The multidimensional Venn diagram sector identifying specifically the people that are gaming the system and will not vote for Mitt cannot be delineated in an off the cuff speech. Worse he left himself open for the Barry's sycophants, those who are easily led by the press,to say Mitt has no compassion for the poor and unfortunate. That said the Mitt should apologize and continue to lift people up and not spend time clarifying gamers.
Now you can view the tapes or read the transcript. Sharky&Sharky urge you to read rather than view. Where this is going is to present Mitt has an intelligent conservative human being. It is is not in the interest of America to support a Barry's regime that is focused on those who cannot get through high school or cannot stand alone. It is time to give support to those who give voice to rational choices that work for America. Hope and Change has become Dope and Chains.
