The Best Way To Make Money In America Is To Steal Someone Else's
Can it get worse? Take it to the bank.
Everyone has role models but not everyone would choose the likes of Mike Milken, Bernie Madoff, Jeffery Skilling, Ivan Boesky, Ken Lay or a host of others - would they. You Bet!
In a new trend we'll call Lawsuit Usury, outside investors are funding plaintiffs' legal causes to the tune of $1 Billion. Invest money in lawsuits, many of them - though not all - frivolous, win, and get rich. What could be better?
An example:
As a result of a 1995 car accident in Philadelphia, a woman and her lawyer borrowed money to pursue legal recourse. The award of ~$170,000 in 2003 was not enough to cover the interest on the money borrowed. Said interest in eight years - $220,000+. And get this - your lawyer or legal counsel is not obliged to disclose that money was borrowed for your litigation. Ain't that sweet. SharkyandSharky wonder who is responsible for those laws?
"If you want to use the civil justice system, you have to have money" said Mr. Alan Zimmerman who founded the first group of it's kind in of all places San Francisco. "...Less money - less justice..." And SharkyandSharky is sure Mr. Zimmerman has "justice" as his main motivation.
