With the "Super Bowl" fast approaching, Sharky&Sharky thought it appropriate to bring to your attention just how deeply sports driven greed has affected this country.
No longer are colleges the monetary incubation starting point into which Big Sports has evolved, high schools want in as well.
Enter Broward School Board in Florida. Blanche Ely High School wants a new state-of-the-art scoreboard and is willing to sacrifice in order to get it. Sacrifice what you may ask? Needless educational things like: school repairs, new computers, buses and books. What student needs anything more than a scoreboard with an incorporated 7 1/2 x 24 foot video screen? The hell with education.
And of course, Blanche Ely is a traditionally black high school that has felt slighted over the years as other schools have technologically moved on with their scoreboards.
Board member Patricia Good is awaiting feedback from superintendent Robert Runcie before making a decision. Why? According to Good, "I need to hear from him on how this would impact our revenue." Looks like a lot of advertisements from the likes of McDonalds are slated to appear on this much "needed" scoreboard.
The Iranian court convicted [Amir Mirzaei] Hekmati of working with a hostile country, belonging to the CIA and trying to accuse Iran of involvement in terrorism, Monday's report said. In its ruling, a branch of the Tehran Revolutionary Court described Hekmati as a mohareb, an Islamic term that means a fighter against God, and a mofsed, or one who spreads corruption on earth. Both terms appear frequently in Iranian court rulings.

Well, like many native born or married nationals that live in this country that cannot totally trust being an American even when by birth they are one, he has dual citizenship. This is of course against the US Constitution and Iranian law. Albeit, this US citizen incurred the wrath of the Iranian government when he sojourned there; they alleged that he is a spy. He entered the country legally with permission through Iranian customs, informing authorities that he had been a US Marine. He was in the Islamic Republic of Iran for two weeks before he was arrested for being a spy. There are no documents/evidence to demonstrate that he is or was a spy. Nothing was produced at his trial. Judiciary spokesman office said the branch, chaired by judge Salavati, has issued the death sentence against Hekmati for collaboration with the hostile government of the US and his membership in the CIA as well as trying to level terrorism charges against Iran.The court found the defendant Mohareb (caught red-handed in armed struggle against God) and corrupt on earth. The court looking into Hekmati case had been held on December 27. Based on the bill of indictment, issued by Tehran prosecutor, Hekmati has been subject to the death sentence on account of the reports of the Legal and Judicial Director General of the Espionage Campaign Department of Iran’s Intelligence Ministry as well as the defendant’s own confessions. In the proceedings Hekmati said he had the motivation to infiltrate Iranian intelligence system on behalf of the CIA.

If Mr. Hekmati is not returned, we, the United States, will hunt you down Mr. Salvati and Mr. Ahmadinejad and have you tried in the world court. And if the US is not satisfied with their verdict we will try you in the US courts. Democratic justice will be carried out.
At the core, Sharky&Sharky assert that this is all a hoax to embarass/sabotage and blackmail the Obama administration. The game is simple in Mr. Ahmadinejad's thinking,

Now, seems that a math test was given to the school children in Gwinnett County AL. Oh yes the children in Alabama learn math. The county has a highly rated Math curriculum, run by Anthony Smith. Not sure about the 13.3% failure rate, However Tony's third graders are ranked third in least failures for third graders.
Well Tony must have been away in Jefferson County helping them with their bankruptcy math.
