Yoohoo! Renana here. I am back for the new year, 2012. Yes the work continues into the new year here in the GFB department ( that's "gimme a fucking break" for those of you in Alabama). (Hey how is that bankruptcy going in Jefferson County, the county seat for Birmingham, AL? Seems you are short $4.1B). The money went down the drain. A little cat humor. However I digress too far.Now, seems that a math test was given to the school children in Gwinnett County AL. Oh yes the children in Alabama learn math. The county has a highly rated Math curriculum, run by Anthony Smith. Not sure about the 13.3% failure rate, However Tony's third graders are ranked third in least failures for third graders.
Well Tony must have been away in Jefferson County helping them with their bankruptcy math. Because Lucy the Lunatic from Social Science crossed into an area beyond her mental grade; that is third grade math. Sample problems: “Each tree had 56 oranges. If eight slaves pick them equally, then how much would each slave pick?” and "If Frederick [presumably a slave] got two beatings per day, how many beatings did he get in one week":

At least two parents were spending homework time with kids and are to be praised. Notice how the school administrator spokeswoman, Sloan, is covering butt. Well what can one say? I am meowless. As goes Alabama so goes the nation. Here is some Renana Math: Bad math+Bad history+Bad Social Science = dumb kids, dumber citizens. As an English exercise pick out the English errors in the italicized question from the test; Ranana counts three. Also there is one logic error. Tony, do not leave the county again!
