But when I get on a plane, I got to tell you, if I see people who are in Muslim garb, and I think, you know, they are identifying themselves first and foremost as Muslims, I get worried. The CEO of NPR Vivian Schiller sent the following letter to AREPS (authorized NPR station representatives) regarding Mr Williams.

Dear AREPS,
Thank you for all of your varying feedback on the Juan Williams situation. Let me offer some further clarification about why we terminated his contract early.
First, a critical distinction has been lost in this debate. NPR News analysts have a distinctive role and set of responsibilities. This is a very different role than that of a commentator or columnist. News analysts may not take personal public positions on controversial issues; doing so undermines their credibility as analysts, and that’s what’s happened in this situation. As you all well know, we offer views of all kinds on your air every day, but those views are expressed by those we interview – not our reporters and analysts.
Second, this isn’t the first time we have had serious concerns about some of Juan’s public comments. Despite many conversations and warnings over the years, Juan has continued to violate this principal.
Third, these specific comments (and others made in the past), are inconsistent with NPR’s ethics code, which applies to all journalists (including contracted analysts):
“In appearing on TV or other media . . . NPR journalists should not express views they would not air in their role as an NPR journalist. They should not participate in shows… that encourage punditry and speculation rather than fact-based analysis.”
More fundamentally, “In appearing on TV or other media including electronic Web-based forums, NPR journalists should not express views they would not air in their role as an NPR journalist.”
Unfortunately, Juan’s comments on Fox violated our standards as well as our values and offended many in doing so.
We’re profoundly sorry that this happened during fundraising week. Juan’s comments were made Monday night and we did not feel it would be responsible to delay this action.

The Ms Schiller of NPR in her speech to the Atlanta Press Club suggested that Juan should review his comments with his psychiatrist but later apologized for being thoughtless. All of these sound a bit like Juan the house Negro was getting a bit uppity and needed to be reminded of his place, the bottom.
Here is the interview that Ms Schiller gave Richard Ho of the Atlantic Access (Atlantic Access is a partnership between WSBTV and the Atlantic Journal Constitution). In this interview Ms Schiller explains NPR business relationship with Mr Williams. He is a contracted NPR news analyst. She also states that barely 3% of NPR's funding comes from the government through the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and NPR is coming out of some dark financial days.
There are also sorts of assertions in the mediasphere. Examples are: Williams should sue NPR, Stop public radio funding of NPR, New York NPR is saying that have never made so much money, other are suggesting that maybe a few more people at NPR should be fired, Williams is saying that NPR (they) were out to get him. Here is the ombudsman from NPR, Alicia Shepard, saying the firing was handled badly; however Ms Shepard agrees with Ms Schiller (well Duh!). Mysteriously the ombudsman uses, Mohamed Khodr to affirm her position. Mr.Khodr is a known radical anti-Semitic writer; here is an example of his scholarship. Ms Shepard must have been desperate for an approving comment to use Mr. Khodr.
Well it seems that Ms Schiller's breaking of Mr. Williams contract has stirred up a hornets nest over 5000 comments have been posted on NPR.Org. Most of which are not saying that what he said is untrue, or that he should not have said it but affirming had the "freedom of speech: to say it or he should have been fired. Mr. Williams is making the rounds of the Sunday talk shows repeating his being fired saga.
Futher it does not matter about all these opinions, Mr Ailes, Fox News Chief Executive gave Mr. Williams a $2 million contract over the next three years. Kinda tough to feel sorry for Juan right now.
Long ago during the Obama medical plan debates, Sharky&Sharky heard Williams argue on Hannity that Barry would not back away from the Obama medical plan, and that he would double down on the medical plan. Of course Barry did just that. Sharky&Sharky have liked Mr. Williams since then. Mr.Williams can predict the future of politicians and policy. This comes from his experience, his mistakes and his insightful judgment.
Seems that Mr Williams perpetrated what the house Negro is never to do say something offensive to the Mistress of the house. The Boston Hearld Appears to agree with Sharky&Sharky (however they do not use the term house Negro )
Williams’s fear-of-flying comment, then, provided the pretext NPR needed to get rid of an analyst whose real sin was engaging in thoughtful political discourse with conservatives. To the overseers of the liberal plantation, the fact that Williams is an African-American who occasionally criticizes the Obamas only compounded this crime.Let's clarify the term house Negro. Mr Williams is not a house Negro. He was thought of by the NPR executives as a house Negro. Here is is Malcolm X's description of a house Negro. The relevant point in this article is that the house Negro sympathizes and empathizes with the master and mistresses of the house. When Mr. Williams spoke against the sentiments of the NPR culture (culture is derived from cult) it became apparent to Ms Schiller that he was not going to be a good house Negro. Further that after several talking to's Juan was not getting the message that the house Negro or Latino voices the opinions of the master and mistress while failure to do so results in expulsion.
Who is Juan Williams? First Sharky&Sharky thought he was a regular in the street African American brother. Look at his picture. In fact Sharky&Sharky thought that his name was Ron Williams. Juan was born in Panana. You can follow up on this Juan Williams on Wikepdia. Mr. Williams has had a great career except for when he was harsh on women in 1991. Currently he writes for several publications, and he has written several books among them Eye on the Prize (wonder if Juan will be dropped from public TV), Thurgood Marshall, and The Black Farmer. Obviously he is a man of letters. Who will defend you O' man of letter?
Obviously not the Latino Americans. They are only interested in not paying for their illegal parents social security benefits under the guise of social justice. They do not defend professional Latino's that get into trouble; remember they did nothing for Alberto Gonzales, 80th Attorney General of the US. Obviously not Black Americans. The circle you, Mr. Williams, travel in is not the same one as the Justice Brother or Tavis Smiley. All the right-wing commentators will abandon you for the next profitable headline; they will certainly dump you when there is no longer a dark complected President. That means Juan you are left with your only true friends Sharky&Sharky. Here is Sharky&Sharky's advice.
First Juan get over it. Stop suffering in public.This make you look like that you are enjoying being a victim. We have all been fired. Losing one's job is all the rage in America. Do not accept Mr. Ailes' money. For the first time in your life you are free to express your opinion without concern for anyone else. Get a good agent. If you have a good one get a better agent. Perhaps Rush Limbaugh's agent or Oprah's. Continue to write. Be prepared to be dropped by some of your currrent publications. Your next book should be on the effectiveness of NPR as a news channel. Hang with the other thinking brothers like Thomas Sowell or Walter Williams. Doesn't matter that you do not share their view. Reflect on how proud your children will be of you when they say. "My Daddy doesn't work for anybody he thinks for a living".
