Sock Her Kick Her

As the World Cup approaches its hopefully exciting conclusion, the collective masses await the final result. Soccer is played, and in many cases, worshipped by much of this planet. It is a game that can be enjoyed most anywhere a reasonably flat surface can be found and requires but a mere sphere to be propelled via the human foot toward a makeshift goal. It’s popularity is legend and it’s pedigree unchallenged. Witness for example Manchester United -  the most lucrative franchise in all of sports.

Spain will battle the Netherlands for the title of 2010 World Champions. And luckily for the world, the two nations representing the pinnacle of the sport respect the sanctity of the lives of both sexes. The same cannot be said for many of the nations which qualified to compete for this title.

Corrective rape and honor killing are practiced in many countries which participated in the 2010 World Cup. It is legal and encouraged, for instance, to rape a female in South Africa who is admittedly homosexual. It is so widespread, that almost 25% of the adult male population acknowledge committing rape. Honor killing is the murder of anyone - almost always female - who is deemed guilty of dishonoring the family, clan or community. Dishonor or simply the suspicion of dishonor of the following: wearing wrong or inappropriate clothing, marrying by choice or engaging in sexual acts, are death sentences in the Middle East and North Africa.

So as the world rejoices in the “magnificence” which is the World Cup, shed a tear for the distaff populations of many participating nations.

SharkyandSharky believe it is time to bring honor to the World Cup by disallowing nations which practice these horrific acts.
