Google's recent admonishment of the PRC has far reaching consequences - much further than Canal Street, NYC. A U.S. company has shoved the proverbial chopsticks up the anus of one of the most sudo-capitalistic communistic repressive governments of the 21st century. Why? They don't want to be placed into the Chinese government's equivalent of "to-go" containers.
Sharkyandsharky still maintain that information, regardless of it's source or veracity, is the bedrock of freedom. Tiananmen Square happened folks, as did Kent State. No amount of political posturing, censorship, rewriting of history or threat can alter the fact.
Although many in this country are of the lo mein noodle type, there are those of us who still have a Sichuan backbone. Google and it's overlords appear to be of that ilk. Let's hope that Google's decision bytes China in the ass.
